Q: My hot foil machine will not heat up. What should I check?
A: Make sure the machine is plugged in to a proper outlet and turned on.
Q: My machine is on and hot, but not hot enough to release the foil. What do I do?
A: Make sure that your machine is not located near a fan or air conditioner. On a GS-491K, the dial should be set to about 6 to 6 1/2. On a ProPrint 31 or Super Printmaster GS-703C, the thermometer should read 225°F to 250°F. Re-adjust the temperature as needed (see user manual for specific instructions).
Q: The foil will not advance. What do I do?
A: Check to make sure the foil advance is adjusted properly (see user manual for instructions).
